Dogs are adorable, lovable creatures, and no matter their appearance, they’ll always look cute. But what if you could make them look even cuter? Despite their natural cuteness, dogs lack a sense of fashion – for obvious reasons. But that doesn’t mean style doesn’t work on them, and in fact, they’ll look even more dapper as long as you dress them up properly.

While modern human fashion can seem strange or difficult to understand for a lot of people, it’s far easier to make fashion work for your dog. Here are some accessories that you should consider letting your dog try on the next time you want to take them out for a stroll or before your next photo shoot.

Best Dog Accessories

Dog Bandana

Bandanas are often seen as a symbol of power or coolness. And even for the most adorable of canines, a properly worn bandana can make them look just a little more mature. Bandanas are worn in many ways by humans – on the forehead, around the neck, and even on one’s wrist or belt, depending on the mood. For dogs, however, it’s far more limiting, and most dogs will end up wearing a bandana around their neck rather than anywhere else.

The cool thing about dog bandanas is that they can cover up your dog’s collar in a stylish way. If your dog’s collar is old or out of style, you may not want to show it off, and a bandana can help keep it hidden while you bring your dog around. For this reason alone, it may be worth considering getting a bandana for your pup.

Dog Boots

Dogs evolved from wolves, and they’ve roamed the wilds for thousands of years barefoot. But so did humans, and we’ve learned of the benefits of footwear. Dogs may not need boots as much as we do today, but seeing them wear one is a wonderful sight nonetheless.

Dog boots are made to look very similar to human boots, so you shouldn’t find it too difficult to find a boot that suits your fancy. Many boots come with that air of fanciness and luxury, so if you want your dog to look professional and just a little bit sassy, a pair of bright boots will do the job nicely.

Dog Hair Ties

Dog hair ties are an interesting type of accessory. Most dogs can use them, as almost all dog breeds have some amount of body hair. However, not all of them can wear them properly, as many dogs have fur too short to properly tie. And even if tying were possible, it wouldn’t really make that much of a difference.

For dogs that have long coats, however, it’s a completely different story. The ties can be used to give your dog twin tails, ponytails, and even braids if their fur is long enough. Since tying hair is something that you’ll need to learn, it may take a while before you’ll be able to give your dog some really interesting hairstyles.

Dog Socks

Finally, let’s talk about a dog fashion accessory that actually has pragmatic benefits. Dogs are known to handle the cold quite well, and this is mainly due to the presence of fur. But fur doesn’t cover every part of their body, and their paws, in particular, are left vulnerable to the elements. This is one of the reasons why some dogs like to curl up and tuck their paws under their bellies. You can spare them the discomfort by giving them a warm and toasty pair of dog socks.

Dog socks come in all shapes and sizes, and you’re guaranteed to find a pair that your dog will be able to wear. Just be sure to limit the use of the socks indoors, as it’s very likely to get dirty the moment your dog steps foot outside with them on.
