When you bring a dog into your life, you sign up for a lot of things. From food and water to dropping things on the floor, there are plenty of times when you and your dog will be dealing with some kind of a mess. At first, it can be tempting to simply mop it up as fast as possible and move on but when you have to clean up after your pup multiple times throughout the day, this can get tiring pretty quickly. If you want to keep your house from smelling like a kennel or want to make sure that no one slips on poop in the hallway, here are some items that will help you keep things under control!

DOG POOP SCOOPER

When it comes to taking care of your dog’s waste, there are many different options available. The most basic tool used by pet owners is the poop scooper. Often equipped with a spring-loaded handle and round head, this tool makes it easy to get into those hard-to-reach corners and clean up after your pet without having to touch the waste.

POOP BAG DISPENSER

As a responsible citizen, it is your duty to pick up your dog’s litter when he decides to “go” while in public places like parks. And while this may seem like a simple task, it can become difficult when you don’t have the right tools at hand. To avoid any unpleasantness, try investing in a poop bag dispenser. The dispenser holds up to 100 bags and comes with a convenient clip so it can be attached to a leash or bag strap. Some of them even come with a LED (light emitting diode) light that helps you pick up the waste from dimly lit areas and dispose of it properly.

NEUTRALIZER SPRAY

If your dog has an accident while on his walk, neutralizer spray can help deodorize the unpleasant smell left behind by dog feces after it has been removed. Not only does it help with masking lingering odor but also prevents the dog from marking its territory. There are several types of neutralizer spray available, but the best one contains enzymes that break down odors and bacteria.

PEE PADS

If you’re taking your dog on a long car ride and don’t want them to make a mess, pee pads are a great way to let them go potty without having to step outside of the vehicle. Designed to provide maximum convenience, pee pads are made of absorbent material that soaks up dogs’ excretions. Plus, they are super easy to use — just place them on the floor and let your pet do their business. Once they finish, just throw away the pad and replace it with a new one.

ANTIBACTERIAL WIPES

If your furry pal has an accident on carpet or upholstery or even on furniture such as couches, chairs, or tables, there’s no need to panic! You can use antibacterial wipes to clean up the messes and sanitize the space without having to go through multiple steps or use harsh chemicals that could be harmful to your furry friend.

FINAL WORDS

Housebreaking a pooch can take around four to six months but some dogs can take longer than that. If you’re not sure whether your furry pal needs to go or not, watch them for a little bit. Dogs will start to sniff around, scratch on the door, and may even squat down when they want to relieve themselves. Once you see this behavior, it’s time to take them outside. Just make sure to bring all the necessary items when nature calls so you can clean up after them without any hassle!
