From our team: Stick vacuums are highly verstile, but lack the suction of an upright. It is important to focus on quality, which is why we like Dyson, Hoover and Tineco.
To simplify the review process, we split our product criteria for finding the best cordless stick vacuum cleaner for dog owners into three different categories: power, durability, and ease of use.
Power: In terms of power, our primary concern was how much area the cordless stick vacuum could clean in a relatively short amount of time. A cordless stick vacuum that does not have any power will not be able to effectively clean dog fur off of your floors and is not worth your time or money.
Because we feel so strongly about not recommending people inefficient products, we weighed this category more significantly than the other two.
Durability: A cordless stick vacuum that is not durable is not going to be of much use to anyone. If we felt like the product was poorly constructed or stopped working after a few trials, we made note of it in our review.
Ease of Use: Vacuuming is enough work already as it is – the last thing people need is to be lugging around a 30-pound machine to every different room in their house. If the vacuum was bulky or otherwise not ergonomic, we lowered the score for that product in this category.
