Find the Perfect Carpet-Stain-Remover for Dog Owners for Your Large Dog

Let’s face it – no one wants to spend a ton of time on their hands and knees scrubbing a carpet, especially if they are trying to eliminate a particularly tough stain, spill, or mess. We know from decades of experience that puppy accidents and dirt will stubbornly cling to fibers in your carpet. You know how hard it is to keep a carpet clean all the time with a dog in play.

That’s why it is an excellent idea to keep a bottle of carpet stain remover in your place of residence at all times. That way, if an accident of any kind does happen, you can chemically treat it immediately and greatly increase your chances of restoring the carpet to its original appearance.

In order to help you find the best carpet stain remover on the market, we did independent testing of our own. Using a final score that we developed by using three different categories for assessment, our final results were that Rocco & Roxie Supply Co. cleaner got our Top Pick, with Hoover’s PETPLUS coming in right behind it for the Honorable Mention slate.  Finally, the Puracy Natural ended up sealing the Green Pick for us.

So what kind of categories did we use, exactly, to score these products? Continue reading below for a more detailed explanation as to how we came to our final results.

DogGear Philosophy

The shining star of this review is the iDog launcher. This unit has five different distance settings, as opposed to three on the other systems. It’s well priced, and the balls are easily interchangeable with standard tennis balls. The DogGear team members love the remote control and the fact that it comes standard with rechargeable batteries.

From our team: Stick vacuums are highly verstile, but lack the suction of an upright. It is important to focus on quality, which is why we like Dyson, Hoover and Tineco.

To simplify the review process, we split our product criteria for finding the best cordless stick vacuum cleaner for dog owners into three different categories: power, durability, and ease of use.

Power: In terms of power, our primary concern was how much area the cordless stick vacuum could clean in a relatively short amount of time. A cordless stick vacuum that does not have any power will not be able to effectively clean dog fur off of your floors and is not worth your time or money.

Because we feel so strongly about not recommending people inefficient products, we weighed this category more significantly than the other two.

Durability: A cordless stick vacuum that is not durable is not going to be of much use to anyone. If we felt like the product was poorly constructed or stopped working after a few trials, we made note of it in our review.

Ease of Use: Vacuuming is enough work already as it is – the last thing people need is to be lugging around a 30-pound machine to every different room in their house. If the vacuum was bulky or otherwise not ergonomic, we lowered the score for that product in this category.
